Although Louise Mathewson's poetic memoir A Life Interrupted: Living with Brain Injury was published by Pearlsong Press in 2012, in a recent review of the poetry collection Melanie Page of Grab the Lapels calls it "the right book at the right time."
"I started mulling on how I would approach such a drastic change in my life" as the brain injury resulting from Mathewson's car accident, Page writes, "and it wasn't too hard to imagine. Hasn't covid disrupted everyone's lives?"
